The Canadian Furniture Show Is No More
/This past June, I attended The Canadian Furniture Show at the International Centre in Toronto. It had been a few years since I’d attended, and I thought it was time I went again to see what was new and keep myself up-to-date.
The show always held the promise of the latest trends and new furniture and home decor collections. Having everything under one roof allowed for viewing each of the vendors vignettes and chatting with the different manufacturers and importers.
You might remember my post afterwards, where I said how disappointing the show was this year. However, like anything in life, if we look for the good in a bad situation, we can find it.
While there, I had a great time reconnecting with my Renwil Rep, and I met another Decorator over lunch who also lives in a rural area and is facing some of the same challenges I am. Nothing too difficult, just different since we moved to our new community. We made a plan for getting together the next time I’m visiting my daughter and will be in her area.
All of that aside, I made the decision not to come back next year. It was a long drive and a days commitment of time and energy that didn’t feel worth the effort.
This morning, I received this notice from their team. Times are changing!
